After months of no team training due to Covid-19 crisis, Phnom Penh Crown have returned to training in group since Monday this week, and Sum Vanna expresses his concern over the players’ injury during the first week of training.
The Red Singha coach wants his players to deploy their experience and team spirit they got during their opening five league matches to adjust themselves to the new situation and plan for the rest of the first half of the season.
Sum Vanna told ppcfc.com: “After a long break, we return to team training this week, but we need to deal with several big problems. For sure, we need at least four weeks to help our players get fit again. It’s the first week for team training, so everything doesn’t go well yet.
“Our big concern is that some of our players may get injured if we apply intensive training. We are working on how we should train to avoid players getting injured.
“We want our players to use the experience and spirit they got from our first five league matches to help them adapt to the new situation and apply our plan we set for the rest of the first round of the season.”
