Paulo Victor said that his family and friends in Brazil have followed Phnom Penh Crown and Cambodian football since he joined the club last season.
The Brazilian midfielder is ambitious to win the Metfone Cambodian League title this season after the Red Singha had a sensational start with four wins and a draw from their opening five matches that sees them top the table.
Paulo Victor told ppcfc.com: “All the news about me and my club reaches my home city, and many people like to know what my career is like. Many people in my city now want to know more about Cambodian football, and I think it’s now being viewed with good eyes.
“Many friends and family of mine follow my games here at Phnom Penh Crown, so I always try to do my best because there is always someone watching me play. Playing at Phnom Penh Crown is an opportunity for me, so I hope to be the champion with the club that I admire a lot.
“Last year, there were few Brazilians here [Metfone Cambodian League], and now there are already a lot. Many team owners are investing, and I think that in a few more years it will bring the supporters a better and better football.
“Many people ask me how it is here, and many my friends who played with me in Brazil and Korea also ask me about the country and football. Many are curious about the country, and I always tell them it’s very good here. My family and I like it here.”
