Phnom Penh Crown take on Bati Youth on Sunday, and Orn Chanpolin urges his side not to underestimate the home side, who gave Sum Vanna’s side a tough match last season.
The midfielder believes the Red Singha need to work hard to ensure another three points after beating Electricite Du Cambodge 3-0 in the opening Metfone Cambodian League encounter.
“For this Sunday’s clash, we will play with high attention against Bati Youth even though it’s believed we can beat them at ease,” the Red Singha captain told ppcfc.com.
“It won’t be an easy game for us as they performed well in their opening game last week. I remembered last season that they gave us a tough game at their home.
“We won’t underestimate them as they have quality training and good preparation. They only need experience and physical development.”
Orn Chanpolin was used as a center-back during last week’s superb win at home and helped the six-time champions of Cambodia record a clean sheet from their first league match of the season.
He said: “It’s not a big deal for me to play as a center-back because I think I can adapt to this role. As a player, I can be flexible and play any role the coach asks me to play.”
