Phnom Penh Crown midfielder Noeu Sokseila has expressed a strong desire to play and make an impact on the team after being used as a substitute in the Red Lions’ home defeat in the Cambodian Classic Match. Leonardo Vitorino replaced Brazilian midfielder Paulo Victor with Noeu Sokseila after half-way of the second half, and it didn’t take much time for the midfielder to impress the Phnom Penh Crown head coach as he scored just minutes after coming off the bench. Noeu Sokseila, who has a wide range of experience in Cambodia’s top flight, had a great season in his first spell with Phnom Penh Crown in 2014 when he won the league championships with the club. The 34-year-old midfielder is hopeful to deploy his experience to help the team whenever he is used on the field as he aims to impress Leonardo Vitorino and fight for a place in Phnom Penh Crown’s starting XI.

The 2014 Metfone Cambodian League winner was very lively in Phnom Penh Crown’s disappointing 3-2 loss to Boeung Ket after coming on and also gave the opponents’ defenders a hard time in a few occasions. Noeu Sokseila told “I want to play, I want to perform, and it’s normal as a player. I have much experience, so my maturity and calmness are good. “I used to play for Phnom Penh Crown and won the league championships with them [2014]. I want to do it again.”

Phnom Penh Crown’s next league fixture is on March 31, when they face Bati Youth in their first away match of the season as Nov Sokseila, who could break into Leonardo Vitorino’s line-up after an impressive performance against Boeung Ket, is hopeful to help his side grab the first win of the season.  “We will face Bati Youth in our second league game this season, and I think we have high percentage to beat them,” added the midfielder.
