Timothy Okereke has full faith in Phnom Penh Crown as he believes his side could be a stronger team when the Metfone Cambodia League resumes.
The Red Singha had a brilliant start to the 2020 Metfone Cambodian League as they are the only team not to concede a single goal after five matches, securing four wins and a draw against defending champions Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng.
All football tournaments including the Metfone Cambodian League has been suspended due to the Coronavirus pandemic after Week 5, and the Red Singha striker has no worries about the Phnom Penh side’s form as each player has been training hard individually.
The Nigerian told ppcfc.com: “We started strong, and I’m expecting a stronger team because I believe in us as a team.
“I’m as much ready as I can both mentally and physically. As a team, we need time to train together and understand more basic things about ourselves.
“I have been training as hard as I can because I understand the need for individual training even if the league was on.”
