Dzarma Bata captained Phnom Penh Crown for the first time since joining the club in the second round of the Cambodian League as his side grabbed a huge win over Ministry of National Defense.
The Red Singha put the home side to the sword through a brilliant performance that handed them a convincing 4-1 win at the Army Stadium.
Dzarma Bata’s brace and goals from Paulo Victor and Mustafa Zazai were enough for Sum Vanna’s side to secure their second league victory over Ministry of National Defense this season.
The striker is pleased with three important points that can boost Phnom Penh Crown’s top-4 finish with three matches to go till the end of the season.
Dzarma Bata told ppcfc.com: “Well, it is a good result for us to win this away game, which is not easy, but our team performance was good. It’s a good record to win back to back against Ministry of National Defense in the league.
“I am so excited for everyone on the game. It’s a very good team spirit as we kept fighting till the end and working hard to get the points we wanted.
“I am happy to wear the captain armband for my first time, and it’s a good performance for us, and I’m pleased with it and looking forward to continuing with this team spirit.
“It feels good of course to score goals, and I really want to keep doing it with the confidence and contribution of my teammates.
“We have a few games to go, and we will continue with this team fighting sprit, and I also believe in everyone including the boss, coach, manager, staff, and our fans who always stay by our side during the good times and bad times, so I believe we will get there.”
