Phnom Penh Crown skipper Orn Chanpolin was handed another start by Cambodia coach Felix Dalmas during last night’s disappointing defeat to Iraq at the National Olympic Stadium.
The KoupreyBlues did do their best and created a few good chances, but they couldn’t capitalize on the chances they created as Iraq hit four goals to snatch an easy three points to top Group C in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Orn Chanpolin started in the KoupreyBlues’s central midfield as he produced a solid performance, but that’s not enough as Iraq proved too strong to Felix Dalmas’s side with their great dominance of the match.
Yeu Muslim came off the bench to replace Sath Rosib in the sixty-fourth minute of the play after the visitors took 4-0 lead, while center-back Yue Safy and left-back Seut Baraing remained unused sub.
With four matches down and another four to go, Cambodia are bottom of Group C as they face Hong Kong in an away match on November 19.
