Paulo Victor, Kok Boris, and Mao Piseth are ruled out of Phnom Penh Crown’s opening Metfone Cambodian League clash against Electricite Du Cambodge at the Smart RSN Stadium this evening, Sum Vanna confirms.
Kok Boris picked up an injury during the Red Singha’s 2-1 defeat to Kedah FA in the international friendly match Smart RSN Cup 2020, while Paulo Victor and Mao Piseth sustained ankle injury during their Leo Pre-season Cup against Chiang Rai United.
Sum Vanna, however, expects the trio to be available for Phnom Penh Crown’s second league match against Bati Youth next week.
“Mao Piseth, Kok Boris, and Paulo Victor are getting better from their injury and maybe 70 per cent fit, but we won’t risk them,” Sum Vanna told ppcfc.com.
“We are working hard to help them recover 100 per cent, and I think they could be available for our second or third match in the league.
“Of course, they join our team training, and hopefully they can play in our important games. They are very important players for the team. With this current situation, they can’t play due to injury, but we have replacements.
“We have foreign players in our attack, and we still have three players available for the game. I think it’s not a big issue for us as we also have several talented youngsters.”
