Sum Vanna has much praise for Angkor Tiger ahead of Phnom Penh Crown’s Cambodian League clash with Oriol Mohedano’s side at the Siem Reap Stadium this Saturday.
Phnom Penh Crown play their final away match of the season this Saturday, when they take on fifth-placed Angkor Tiger as they hope to bring home three points to boost their Top-4 hope.
Sum Vanna’s big worry is the pitch at the Siem Reap Stadium, with the Red Singha caretaker manager taking a frustrating 1-0 defeat to Soltilo Angkor, who share the same stadium with Angkor Tiger, as an experience.
Sum Vanna told ppcfc.com: “I think against Angkor Tiger will be a tough game for us at the end of 2019 as we need to play a team in a better league position at their home.
“We know they play very well at home as they are used to playing on their pitch. Weather is not a big deal for us, but the pitch will make it hard for us to play.
“When we played Soltilo Angkor, we fully dominated the game, but our finish was not good. We have worked hard to prepare our game with Angkor Tiger as they are a good team and prepare well for each game. They also have more quality players than Soltilo Angkor.
“Our final two games against Angkor Tiger and Kampong Cham are really important for us. Our players, management team, and technical team are working hard together, and we will do our best to get six points and finish the season in the Top-4 zone.
“We need to be focused, and we can’t make any mistakes against Angkor Tiger. We need more boys in defense than attack because they are a quality team.”
