Phnom Penh Crown take on Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng at the Smart RSN Stadium on Sunday, and Sum Vanna targets nothing but three points from this mouth-watering meeting.
Both sides start their Metfone Cambodian League campaign with three wins out of three, so this Sunday’s encounter should be a must-watch match.
The kick-off time has been moved from 6.00pm to 3.30pm, so the Red Singha coach expresses his concern over the hot weather as some players are not used to playing at home at 3.30pm.
Sum Vanna told ppcfc.com: “It’s an important week for us as Phnom Penh Crown welcome Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng. We have a good team preparation and strong commitment for this home game, and we will give our all to bring out a positive result against them.
“They have a very good team preparation, and they have quality players. They have busy schedule as they play in the AFC Cup, so in some weeks they play two games. For us, we will take each game at time, meaning that we focus on game in hands.
“This Sunday’s clash is very important for both sides, but we play at home, so we need to prepare a team to beat them. Against any team at home, we are desperate to win as everyone at the club is committed to getting three points at home.
“Hot weather is also a concern for us as some of our new players are not used to this kind of weather yet. We have some injured players, but we have replacements. I’m confident that the boys can do their job.”
