Sum Vanna is happy with an away draw with Angkor Tiger as Phnom Penh Crown came from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw at the Siem Reap Stadium last week.
Okereke Chiemerie opened the scoring to give Angkor Tiger an early lead inside ten minutes of the play before Fernando Torres doubled the host’s advantage in the fifty-ninth minute.
However, Debiro Bata, who came on in the second half, bagged two late goals to secure a point for the Red Singha in a tough afternoon to please the travelling supporters, who kept cheering the team for the entire match.
Sum Vanna told ppcfc.com: “It’s a good result also because when we played on our pitch, we defeated them 1-0. We played at their home, and we drew. They are also top team in MCL 2019.
“We played well, but there were some tactical errors. We had some difficulties during the first half, and then we conceded two goals. In the last 20 minutes, we made some changes as we used Plan C, and we got two goals that were scored by Bata. That’s what we expected.”
