Sum Vanna is still confident that Phnom Penh Crown will be back to their form ahead of the Metfone Cambodian League clash with G.C National Police.
The Red Signha look to get back to winning ways after a 3-0 defeat to Nagaworld away from home before the visit of Prak Sovannara’s side at the Smart RSN Stadium this Sunday.
Sum Vanna, who has been named as the Phnom Penh Crown caretaker manager this week following the departure of Brazilian coach Leonardo Vitorino, is working hard to prepare the team for this Sunday’s match.
Sum Vanna told ppcfc.com: “We are trying to prepare our team in term of defensive and offensive aspects, and we do it according to the opponents we will face.”
Eleventh-placed G.C National Police have just picked up a win from six matches, but the 38-year-old caretaker manager still have a huge respect for them as they are led by an experienced coach Prak Sovannara
Sum Vanna said: “The opposition team for this week is led by the senior football coach, who has much experience in Cambodian football as well as International football, so we must be careful about the flexibilities in the game.
“Their players are experienced and talented, and also many of them used to be in the national team.
“However, we are Phnom Penh Crown, so we must think forward. We must fight for three points at home.”
Phnom Penh Crown sit in the tenth place in the Metfone Cambodian League table, but a win over G.C National Police this Sunday could move them to seventh place.
