Phnom Penh Crown began their pre-season campaign for the 2020 season in December last year, and the team have been working hard and trying to understand the team tactic.

The Red Singha have played a number of friendly matches including the recent 2020 Smart RSN Stadium Cup.

Sum Vanna’s side defeated Angkor Tiger 3-1 and drew 2-2 with Ministry of National Defense before beating Kirivong Sok Sen Chey 2-0. In the 2020 Smart RSN Stadium Cup, they overcame Angkor Tiger 2-1, but went down 2-1 against Kedah FA of Malaysia.

The six-time champions of Cambodia will join the 2020 Leo Pre-season Cup in Thailand on January 25 as they face the winners of the clashes between Chiangrai United, Changmai FC, and Chainat Hornbill FC.

Phnom Penh Crown caretaker manager has given his thoughts on his team preparation during the pre-season…

On his team training after one month…

During this pre-season, we have been working hard more on physical training program than tactic. We also focus on energy, mentality, and tactic before the upcoming new season.

On how sharp the team is during this pre-season…

With the current situation, I can’t talk much about our team tactic, but we keep the good things we did from last season. We will work more on this during our seventh and eighth weeks of the pre-season so that our players can understand better ahead of the new season.

On how much the players can understand the tactic…

The players can quickly understand what we have instructed them and what we want them to do during our training. The relationship between the coaches, players, and staff is good on and off the pitch. We will work harder in Week 4 and 5.
