Soun Noeut has been deployed as left-back and right-back by Sum Vanna in the recent pre-season friendly matches, and the full-back is happy to play anywhere the coach wants him to play.
Soun Noeut, who played as a striker for Phnom Penh Crown Academy several years ago, made only two appearances for the senior team last season after he sustained an injury during the training.
The Red Singha signed four foreign players including Esoh Omogba, Andreas Nieto, Ideguchi Masaaki, and Timothy, and the full-back is hopeful that the new foreign signings can help the team achieve its goal of winning the league title this season.
Soun Noeut told ppcfc.com: “I’m happy to return to the pitch again. I’m happy with my new role as a full-back even though it’s a bit hard for me to be flexible.
“After several friendly games and especially a friendly game in Thailand, I learn that our team have improved. Our players have similar quality even our substitutes are also good.
“We have better foreign players than last season as they have experience in the league and understand our team tactic well. Hopefully, they can help our team to achieve our target.”
