Phnom Penh Crown left-back Seut Baraing can’t wait for the Cambodian Classic Match that he thinks is the most important match for the Red Singha in the Metfone Cambodian League.
The second Cambodian Classic Match of the season will be played at the Smart RSN Stadium as Boeung Ket’s stadium is not ready to host this mouth-watering clash between two big rivals.
Seut Baraing was left frustrated after the Red Singha went down 3-2 against Hao Socheat’s side in their opening league battle, but he is desperate to snatch three points from this Sunday’s exciting match.
Seut Baraing told ppcfc.com: “I can’t wait for the game. To me, it is the biggest game that everyone calls Cambodian Classic Match in Cambodia. The fans are looking forward to seeing this amazing game, and so am I. I really want to play this kind of game as it is the biggest game and most important game in the Metfone Cambodian League.
“I’m training twice as hard as I can to get a good result, and we are hungry for the victory to add another win at the Smart RSN Stadium as we are on a great form recently. This Sunday’s game is more important than any other game, and we are ready for the clash.
“We target nothing less than a win, and the whole team have only one goal, which is to win the game for our fans. Team performance is what we have prepared for this important game. We will play with high team spirit too.”
Seut Baraing has a huge faith in himself to stop Cambodia international striker Chan Vathanaka, who has just returned to Boeung Ket after he parted company with Malaysian club.
He added: “It will be a good game as I haven’t faced him [Chan Vathanaka] for a long time because he moved to overseas clubs. I have high commitment to stop him just like what I did in 2016. He is the best striker in Cambodia, and I always respect and look up to him.”
