Phnom Penh Crown striker Paulo Victor is excited and can’t wait to welcome the return of the Metfone Cambodian League after months of suspension.
All football tournaments in Cambodia have been suspended due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and training in group is not allowed to fight against the Covid-19 crisis.
Paulo Victor, however, believes that his teammates are working hard during their individual training to maintain their momentum in the league after a strong start with four wins and a draw from their opening five matches.
Paulo Victor told ppcfc.com: “I’m very pleased with the return of the [Metfone] Cambodian League, and I think my teammates feel happy with it, too. I’m ready for football since the league was suspended. I always train hard even though it’s an individual training at home. I believe my teammates are working hard as we need to be tough as always.”
The Red Singha will face Visakha in their first match after the re-start of Cambodia’s top flight, but the return date has not been confirmed yet.
The Brazilian added: “I can’t wait to face Visakha because I think it will be one of the biggest matches in Cambodia. We have motivation and confidence in the team as we are more competitive this season. I hope we will win three points from this important match.”
