Phnom Penh Crown face Visakha in an away encounter in the Metfone Cambodian League this Sunday, with Paulo Victor desperate to win nothing less than three points.
The Red Singha went down 3-1 to Visakha at home in the first round of the season, and Paulo Victor, who was the goal scorer for them, is looking forward to bagging more goals against one of Cambodia’s powerhouse teams.
Sum Vanna’s side have earned nineteen points from their last seven league matches, and the Brazilian striker is very pleased with the team improvement.
He, however, has encouraged his teammates to have full focus and determination for this Sunday’s big clash with Visakha, who he think will give Phnom Penh Crown a tough match.
The 24-year-old told ppcfc.com: “We know it will be difficult, but we have many chances to win. For me, we lost the first game, so we want to win three points back. I always enter the pitch to win the matches, so against them will not be different as we want to win three points.
“First, I hope that we leave with the 3 points, and more if I score goals and help the team win the game, I will be a little happier.
“We are evolving in the competition, and our team has been improving in every function on the field, so if we are focused and determined, it will be difficult to lose to any teams in the league.”
Paulo Victor has so much praise for Phnom Penh Crown’s new signings Dzarma Bata and Shane Booysen, who have scored nine goals combined in their first two league matches for Phnom Penh Crown.
He added: “We’re getting to know each other in the field, so sure our attack will be harder to stop.”
