Phnom Penh Crown encounter a tough start to the 2019 Metfone Cambodian League campaign as they snatch only one win from their first four matches. However, Paulo Victor has pointed out that the Red Singha’s season is not over yet, with the Brazilian forward hopeful that his side will be able to find their form back soon. After a 5-1 defeat against Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng last week, the 24-year-old explained that Leonardo Vitorino’s side are in a hard time that requires everyone at the club to work harder to deal with pressure.

“It’s just four games, so it is too early to say that our season is over. Of course, it is too early to say this as we know our qualities, and we know we can get back on top,” Paulo Victor told

“We know that it is a difficult situation, in which we players and technical staff are not pleased, but we can still give our best.

“We have to work harder so that in the next game the victory will come, and we can take more and more confidence to challenge for the title.

“We know in football we have to be strong to withstand with pressure, so our motivation is know that we play in the biggest team in the country and that we have condition to change our situation in the league.”

Phnom Penh Crown will welcome Asia Euro United at the Smart RSN Stadium this Sunday as it is also their third home match of the season. Phnom Penh Crown have yet to win at home so far this season after they were beaten 3-2 by Boeung Ket in their opening league match before going down 3-1 to Visakha.

Therefore, Phnom Penh Crown look to bounce back to grab their first win at home that Paulo Victor, who has scored three goals in his four appearances for the club, believes can raise the team’s morale and satisfy the supporters after last week’s heavy defeat at Svay Rieng.

The Brazilian forward said: “We know against Asia Euro United is a key game that we can win to regain our confidence at home in our stadium with our fans. That means we have everything to produce a good game and start to get back on top in the league competition.”
