Mao Piseth won the Hun Sen Cup youngest top scorer award and was named in the best XI in the tournament that Phnom Penh Crown finished third last season.
The Red Singha striker hopes to get more game time this upcoming season and aims to help the club win trophies after Phnom Penh Crown last won the league in 2015.
Mao Piseth told ppcfc.com: “I feel very happy, and it’s incredible to win the award. It’s my first time to win these awards. It’s unbelievable.
“I’m not sure, but hopefully I can get more game time this season. I will work harder and do my best. I will give my all, and my goal is to win trophy for the club.
“Of course, we use all local players in the Hun Sen Cup. Each club has quality Khmer players, so the level of competition is still hard.
“It’s a great tournament, and it gives chances for local players to play and show their quality to impress the coach.”
Orn Chanpolin and Va Sokthorn are among Phnom Penh Crown players, who showed up on the stage during the Cambodian Football Award.
Orn Chanpolin was named in the best XI in both Hun Sen Cup and Metfone Cambodian League, and Va Sokthorn won the Golden boot as the top scorer in the Hun Sen Cup.
