Leonardo Oliveira is pleased with his first league debut for Phnom Penh Crown as the Red Signha secured a hard-earned victory over Bati Youth U18 at the Bati Football Training Center last week. The Brazilian goalkeeper, who wasn’t involved in Phnom Penh Crown’s 3-2 loss to Boeung Ket at home in the Cambodian Classic Match, had a great debut to remember as his side ran out 2-0 winners in their first away match of the season.
Despite a dominant performance by Phnom Penh Crown, Bati Youth U18 could still create some threats to Leonardo Vitorino’s side, but credit should be given to the 23-year-old for making several good saves to keep a clean sheet in his first official match for the club. “I was very happy with my debut. I made a good match as I helped my friends. But the most important thing was to come back home with the victory,” Leonardo Oliveira told ppcfc.com
Phnom Penh Crown will entertain fourth-placed Visakha at their Smart RSN Stadium this weekend, with Leonardo Oliveira urging his side to be well-prepared ahead of the visit of one of their tough rivals. Leonardo Oliveira has also explained the importance of the supporters’ role that can help the team in this upcoming league encounter with Hok Sochivorn’s side, who defeated Kirivong Soksen Chey 2-0. “We will have a very difficult game at home. We have to train well this week to be well-prepared, and with the support of our fans we will make a great game to leave the pitch with 3 points that is our objective,” said the Brazilian goalkeeper. “The fans have a fundamental role for us. They motivate us, support us, so this can help us a lot. Come and watch our game to fill our stadium and support us until the end. Together we are stronger, we are one!”
