Kok Boris explained how committed he is to Phnom Penh Crown ahead of the new league season following his return to the Red Singha for the second spell and claimed that the six-time champions of Cambodia have a complete team to challenge for trophies.
Phnom Penh Crown host the 2020 Smart RSN Cup as they face Angkor Tiger on 10 January and Kedah FA of Malaysia on 14 January, and the center-back wants to utilize this pre-season tournament to improve the team ahead of 2020 season.
“This is an honour and pride to play for Phnom Penh Crown again, and I’m 800% back in this team,” Kok Boris told ppcfc.com.
“Since we started the pre-season until now, I have very good feeling. During one month and half, we are preparing our physical condition. The coach has a special tactic plan for us, and we have prepared this so well.
“I am very happy and proud about the seriousness and maturity of our team even if many players are still young. It’s a complete team, and I’m glad about our recruitments.
“We get what we need to balance our team. We have a good connection between each other. The life of group is very good, and you can see all of these on the field after 5 pre-season games with four victories and a draw.
“So about the upcoming friendly tournaments, I think that it will be a good opportunity to see where our level is now because we will challenge a better team than us.
“I think this is important to win, but the most important during this pre-season cup will be to detect our weakness and our force and to regulate all of these before the Metfone Cambodian League. We should not forget that the main goal of the team this year is the top place in the league.”
