Phnom Penh Crown striker Dzarma Bata claimed that the Red Singha are unlucky against Cambodian League Top-4 sides after his side were held to a 2-2 draw by defending champions Naga World last week.
Dzarma Bata, who joined Phnom Penh Crown in the second round of this league season, made his first appearance for the club in a disappointing 4-4 draw with Boeung Ket.
Phnom Penh Crown suffered two straight defeats to Visakha and Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng, having lost 3-4 and 2-5 respectively before drawing 2-2 against Meas Channa’s side at the Smart RSN Stadium last Saturday.
Despite poor results against Cambodian League powerhouses, Dzarma Bata, who has netted ten times in his six league appearances for Sum Vanna’s side, believed that more good things will come through their hard work.
Dzarma Bata told ppcfc.com: “We worked hard against the big teams. If you can see the games that we played against the big teams, we played very well, but we were unlucky to get the points we wanted. That’s football, anyway.
“I’m not really disappointed, but it is sad that we didn’t get the points that we wanted, but I believe we will come back stronger and better.
“Some of the big games we played very well, but at the end of the 90 minutes something we didn’t expect happen. Some key players got injured, so that’s why we struggled against the big teams.
“Phnom Penh crown have the best attacking players from all attacking positions. We need to work harder together as one family to get a good result for the team, fans, club’s president, and all staffs of Phnom Penh Crown to make things better for us because I believe we will bounce back.”
Phnom Penh Crown will take on G.C National Police in an away league clash at the EDC Stadium this Sunday as they look to put their disappointment aside and get three points from Prak Sovannara’s side.
