Dzarma Bata missed a few good chances against Electricite Du Cambodge, but turned out to bag a brace during Phnom Penh Crown’s 7-0 victory over Prak Vuthy’s side at the Smart RSN Stadium last week.
The Red Singha sit in the sixth place in the Cambodian League table as they are two points behind fourth-placed Boeung Ket with two matches to go till the end of the season.
Dzarma Bata, who is the favorite to win the Golden Boot this season, aims to snatch six points from Phnom Penh Crown’s final two matches against Angkor Tiger and Kampong Cham to finish the season on high.
The striker told ppcfc.com: “We are still working hard to keep winning the games that are left to finish the league, so it is a plus for us and a record to keep the clean sheet.
“Football is like that, and it used to happen in football that there are always attempt and chances you miss, but at the final minute I got two goals and an assist. It feels good to score and also get 3 points, which is also important for the team. We just keep focusing more.
“Well, for now it is not yet over until it’s over. I just want to keep doing the best I can not only for myself, but also for the team as we all work together, and when the time is right, we shall see what happens.
“We just keep going on our winning ways to win our two games, and at the end we shall see what will happen, but the best we hope for.”
